Sitting by the Fire
The kids and I just got a really nice fire going while Kristy is at the grocery buying food for a special Christmas Eve supper. With a stocked pantry and enough wood split to last us for days- we are set!

Schaeffer's Turtle
Schaeffer "Nature Boy" Caston caught this turtle this morning down by the creek, as well as a nice crawdad (in a cup, not pictured). The snake was captured last Saturday on our driveway by a friend, Matt Stephenson.

Felling trees in the front yard
This afternoon we had a couple of trees felled in our frontyard. Went to the Home Depot and bought a rather inexpensive, but powerful enough wood chopper so that we'll have PLENTY of firewood this year.

Taste of Creekstone Photo Highlights
Last night was Creekstone's first official information meeting, A Taste of Creekstone. It was an over-the-top encouraging time for me to see such interest in the new church, and hopefully it was informative and inspiring to those who were able to attend. The turnout was more than we could ever have expected- wow! So thanks to those of you who were there, and thanks to my eldest, Ann Ferris, for taking these pictures of the evening. The Creekstone adventure has begun...
