Let’s Be Honest

DeadTree2Just like the lack of leaves on a tree reveals the lack of physical life, the lack of observable love reveals an absence of spiritual life in people like you and me. The biggest problem may be that we think we are lot better at loving others than we really are. We are blind to our own barrenness.

So, let’s be honest. Of course, you may be the exception. But for the rest of us, it will serve us well to admit the obvious so that we can deal with the root issue—an issue that we we will discuss this week at Creekstone’s Sunday gathering.

As we explore the implications of 1 Corinthians 13:1-8a, we will face some difficult news, but also some gloriously amazing news that will give us a dose of real hope and encouragement. Additionally, we will leave with some  practical tools that I think will really help make observable love a more visible reality in our lives, especially when it comes to areas like marriage, parenting and friendship.

I can’t wait to share this message with you!
