Do you remember that car commercial where a young boy observes the new (I think it was Nissan) and says, “Somethin’s up”? He was referring to a car that had been redesigned for appearance and performance and was getting his attention. I believe that somethin’s up at Creekstone. Whether you are aware or not, there has been a significant prayer initiative started based on Eph. 3:20-21, ““Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.”
This is what is being prayed on Saturday mornings at the new men’s prayer breakfast. It is how we are praying at our weekly staff meetings, and in other contexts. So, we primarily are going to be praying for goals that we’ve set as a church which are beyond what we can accomplish and above what we can attain. It’s not so much testing God as much as it is believing him, based on Eph. 3:20.
We want to see God do immeasurably more than we can imagine FOR HIS GLORY! So, with that in mind I can’t tell you how much I am anticipating Sundays. We already are seeing a revived enthusiasm and vibrancy in worship, as well as many new folks attending. I’m hearing some really amazing God stories about how he is drawing folks to Jesus as we lift Him up. Wow, what a privilege to be in the ministry with you!
And by the way, for all you volunteers serving this Sunday. You really are making a difference!
