Anger. Lonliness. Shame. Fear. Jealousy. Envy. Despair.
What if our darker emotions are not something to control or manage, but rather are windows that reveal the human soul? If that is the case, then understanding our emotions becomes a pathway to knowing God more intimately and fully. This summer as we study the Psalms, we will be invited to explore our emotional lives in such a way that draws us into a life-changing encounter with God’s unfathomable grace. By the way, a helpful book that you might consider reading this summer along with the series is The Cry of the Soul, by Dr. Dan Allender and Dr. Tremper Longman. So, are you ready to get emotional?
